Posting those pictures of Lily made me remember taking several other pictures of the kids in laundry baskets. If there is an empty basket around, you can guarantee that one of them will be in it, pushing it around, giving each other rides, making beds for themselves or their stuffed animals, etc. And usually they end up getting hurt by them too: they tip over very easily, inevitably hitting them in the face and tumbling them to the floor. Yet they are not dissuaded from commandeering them for their games.

I don't get it.

cute! i'm pretty sure my mom has some similar pictures of denise and me.
the laundry basket has been a toy for our friend's kids, at our place as well since we don't really have any little kid toys to play with :o)
i was just playing your little word game on the side. "palipating" was one of the words...couldn't help thinking of your favorite professor, doc freeman. "PALIPATE, class!" ah...good times!
And to think of all the $$$ you've thrown down for Christmas and birthday presents... haha!!! :-)
i so miss the days when all you needed for hours of fun was a laundry basket and an active imagination!
